My name is Debra Greaves,

Debra
I live and work primarily in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire and bring to my practice over 15 years experience of working as a mental health occupational therapist in the NHS adult mental health sectors. I have a particular interest and experience of working with panic attacks, anxiety and stress management, phobias, life transitions and relationship issues, maternal mental health and depression.

Professional and confidential service specialising in...

Hypnotherapy,
Life Coaching,
Stress Management, Anxiety,
Phobias
& Relationship Problems.
I am also a qualified Hypnotherapist, NLP practitioner, Person Centred Counsellor and Stress Management Counsellor. As a hypnotherapist I am able to work with a range of other associated issues as listed in the treatment areas section of this web site.

During my work within the NHS I have also trained to use and now incorporate within my therapy approach Solution Focussed Brief Therapy (SFBT), Brief Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This enables me to draw on a range of theory, experience and skills to formulate individualise treatment plans.

What do the letters mean?

A lot of therapist's sites include a whole string of letters after the persons' name, as indeed does mine.

Registered Hypnotherapist with National Council for Hypnotherapy.

Registered Occupational
Therapist in mental health with the Health Professions Council
These letters are not there just to look impressive but to convey the qualifications, registrations and professional bodies that the therapist belongs to and who they are therefore accountable to. This in turn offers you, the potential customer, a degree of security and come back if you feel someone has behaved unethically or mis-represented themselves.

However, be warned, it is easy for someone to make claims that are untrue, even if they are using the organisations logo, so make sure that you check out with the listed registering and licensing bodies for example HPC (Health Professions Council) and MNCH (Member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy) that they do have that person registered. Most of these organisations also have a facility on their web site where you can check out the therapists name, location and basic details.
